How do I write a good motion prompt?
Name the camera move and what moves in the shot, for example “slow push in on the lighthouse, waves rolling, clouds drifting”. One or two movements work better than a long list, because the image already fixes the character and the setting. Leave the prompt empty and you get a gentle cinematic camera move.
How long does generation take?
About a minute for a 5-second clip. You can watch it in the browser and download it if you want to keep it. If generation fails, your credits are returned automatically.
What format do I get?
MP4, which plays everywhere and imports into any editor. There is no watermark on any plan.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Yes. All videos you generate are yours to use commercially - YouTube monetization, client work, selling, etc. We don't claim any rights to your content.
Can I add background music?
Not from inside Story-AI. Turning on audio gives you sound generated with the clip; if you want a music bed on top, add it in any video editor after downloading the MP4.
What's the pricing?
Video is billed from the same credit balance as everything else: 40 credits for a 5-second clip, 80 with audio. On Basic that is about 10 videos a month, on Premium about 50, on Professional about 250. There is no separate video subscription.
Can I edit the video afterwards?
Download the MP4 and edit it in whatever you already use — DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, CapCut. Story-AI has no built-in video editor; to change the clip itself, adjust the motion prompt and generate again.
