1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Story-AI, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The Service

Story-AI is a website that uses third-party AI models to generate stories, bilingual reading versions, illustrations and short videos from your prompts and uploads.

AI output can be inaccurate, repetitive or unexpected, so review it before you publish or rely on it. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

3. Your Account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Keep your login details secure and don't share your account with others. You're responsible for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Story-AI responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws. You must not:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Generate content that is harmful, offensive, or violates others' rights
• Upload images or text you don't have the right to use
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy our technology, get around credit limits, or access other users' data
• Share your account credentials with others

5. Your Content

You own the stories, images and videos you generate with Story-AI, to the extent the law allows, and you keep ownership of the text and images you upload.

We store and process your content only to provide the service to you. To generate it, we send your prompts and uploads to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

Copyright rules for AI-generated work differ between countries, so we can't guarantee that generated content is protected by copyright.

Our platform, technology and branding remain our intellectual property and are protected by copyright and other laws.

6. Credits, Plans and Payments

• Generating content uses credits. Each plan includes a set number of credits, and the cost of each feature is shown on our pricing page and before you generate.
• Credits refresh every 30 days. On paid plans, unused credits don't carry over to the next period.
• If a generation fails, the credits it used are returned automatically.
• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
• On the Free plan, stories can be downloaded for 7 days after they are created.
• For billing questions, including refund requests, email support@story-ai.org.

8. Limitation of Liability

Story-AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Story-AI at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason. You can stop using Story-AI at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings, which also cancels an active subscription.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through our website or by email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
