What Makes a Book Title Work
Every title the generator writes is checked against four things. They are the same four an editor uses.
Sound is the first test. A title is said aloud far more than it is read: in a bookshop, on a podcast, in a review. Hard consonants and short words carry; long soft phrases blur. How should I choose between the ten?
Read them aloud, imagine them on a spine and in a search box, and ask which one a stranger could repeat correctly after hearing it once. The reason line under each title tells you what it is trying to do; pick the one whose job matches your book.
What if none of the ten fit?
Regenerate for one credit with a different style, or change how you describe the book. Describing the ending, the setting or the feeling instead of the plot often produces a very different set.
