Six ways to put Story-AI to work
Authors
Get past the blank page
Draft a scene, test a different ending or explore a character's backstory, then rewrite the result in your own style.
Try: “The same breakup scene, told by the other person”
Teachers
Examples for any lesson
Generate short texts that show a structure, a genre or a point of view, and use the audience setting to match your class's reading level.
Try: “A 400-word fable about sharing, for ages 9–12”
Content Creators
Scripts and story posts
Write narration for short videos, story-style posts or newsletter openers. The screenplay and short-story formats help with pacing.

Try: “A calm story about Lia and a dragon who can't sleep”
Students
Practice and study
See how one plot reads in first and third person, or study how stories in a genre usually open. Check your school's rules before handing in AI-written work.
Try: “The 300-word opening of a mystery, told in first person”
Businesses
Brand and customer stories
Turn your company's founding story or a real customer situation into a short narrative for a newsletter, a pitch or a training course. Commercial use is allowed on every plan.

What Happens When You Press Generate
Story-AI turns your prompt and settings into detailed writing instructions for Google Gemini (currently Gemini 3.8 Flash):
- Story type, style, audience and perspective shape the tone, vocabulary and structure
- The format sets the layout: a screenplay gets scene headings, a diary gets dated entries
- The story is written directly in the language you pick
- The word count of the finished story decides how many credits it costs
You get a first draft. Specific prompts make better stories, and your edits make them yours.

Common Questions
What types of stories can I generate?
There are six presets (children's tale, adventure, fantasy, mystery, romance and sci-fi) and ten formats, from prose and short stories to screenplays, letters, diaries, fables and poems. For any other genre, such as horror, comedy or historical fiction, leave the story type on Auto and describe it in your prompt. All of this is available on every plan.
How do credits work?
One credit covers 500 words, and the total is rounded up: a 480-word story costs 1 credit, a 1,200-word story costs 3. The Free plan includes 20 credits a month (about 10,000 words), Basic 400, Premium 2,000 and Professional 10,000. Credits renew every 30 days.
Can I write stories in languages other than English?
Yes. You can choose from 30 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi. The story is written in that language directly rather than translated from English.
How good are the stories?
Story-AI asks the model for a complete story with a beginning, a middle and an end. The prompt makes the biggest difference: named characters, a setting and a clear conflict help a lot. Treat the result as a first draft and edit it.
Are my stories saved?
Yes. Every story you generate is saved to your dashboard, where you can reopen it, share its text, download it or delete it.
Can I download my stories?
Yes, as a TXT file from your library. On the Free plan, a story can be downloaded for 7 days after it is created; paid plans have no time limit.
How long does generation take?
Most stories are ready in 10–30 seconds. Stories of several thousand words can take a minute or more.
Can I use the stories commercially?
Yes, on every plan, including Free. The stories you generate are yours, and you can use them in personal and commercial projects. Publishers, platforms and schools may have their own rules about AI-written work, so check before you submit.
Which AI model writes the stories?
Stories are written by Google Gemini, currently Gemini 3.8 Flash, with a lighter Gemini model taking over if it is unavailable. Illustrations and videos use separate image and video models.
How long can a story be?
You can request up to 1,000 words on Free, 2,000 on Basic and 5,000 on Premium and Professional. The finished story can come out somewhat longer or shorter, and credits follow the words actually written. If you leave length on Auto, Story-AI aims for about 500 words.
